The fifth season of The Handmaid’s Tale , which can now only be seen on Videoland, will also premiere on television in April. Not yet at Fox, where the fourth season premiered last September, but on the Belgian channel Canvas. The Handmaid’s Tale revolves around the handmaid June (Elisabeth Moss), who has to survive in a totalitarian society where women are oppressed by men.
At the start of season five, she considers her next move, having finally dealt with Commander Waterford (Joseph Fiennes). But Waterford’s widow Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) also forges new plans. The Handmaid’s Tale is currently working on a sixth season in America, which will conclude the series. The Handmaid’s Tale S05 launches on Canvas on Sunday, April 2.
