Will Fast X include an unexpected return?
A new rumor indicates that a fan-favorite character from the Fast & Furious franchise could return unexpectedly in Fast X, the penultimate installment of the saga. The premiere of the tenth part of the successful franchise is very close, but details of the film are still being finalized, which could include a very special post-credits scene. In December, rumors about the return of Gal Gadot as Gisele Yashar surfaced, indicating an early version of the film that included her character, who died in the sixth installment of the saga. Now, THR confirms that Fast X is “shooting a button or tag today that may or may not have a guest cameo.”
Although the information is very vague, it is not the first time that Fast & Furious has brought a dead character back to life. In the ninth part, Sung Kang’s Han Lue returned after fans relentlessly pleaded to see him again. In fact, Kang himself expressed his desire to see Gisele again, something that could have been a clue to the future rather than just a wish from the actor. We will have to wait until May 18, when Fast X hits theaters, to find out what and who the surprises are that the franchise has prepared for the audience, which will surely be many.
What to Expect from Fast X
In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his team took out the infamous Brazilian drug lord Hernán Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio de Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son Dante witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years coming up with a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price. Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London, and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged, and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry) is the ultimate target of Dante’s revenge.
Fast X was directed by Louis Leterrier (Transporter), who took over the role of Justin Lin after Lin left the project due to creative differences. The film is written by Lin and Dan Mazeau, with Lin still attached as a producer. Regarding the cast, the film stars Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, John Cena, Jason Statham, Scott Eastwood, and the additions Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno.
