Emily in Paris star Ashley Park has officially been added to the cast of the upcoming Mean Girls movie musical from Paramount Pictures, E! News can confirm.
While character details are being kept under wraps, Paramount+ confirmed Ashley will have a cameo role. And yes, the actress, who earned a 2018 Tony nomination for originating the role of Gretchen Wieners in the Mean Girls Broadway musical, couldn’t be more excited.

The casting news comes days after E! News confirmed Busy Philipps’ casting as cool mom Mrs. George, with The Office alum Jenna Fischer taking on the role of Ms. Heron—played by Ana Gasteyer in the 2004 movie.

Mare of Easttown’s Angourie Rice is stepping into Lindsay Lohan’s mathlete jacket as Cady, while Reneé Rapp is reprising her role from the Broadway musical as the iconic Regina George. And if one thing is guaranteed: it’s that she will be wearing pink on Wednesdays.
