SEAL Team star Max Thieriot’s show Fire Country has been renewed for a second season.
According to The Wrap, the CBS firefighter drama has been hugely popular since its premiere. It has attracted 8 million viewers an episode, with 10 million people tuning in through the network’s streaming platforms.
Speaking about the renewal, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said: “It’s pretty remarkable to see a new series resonate like this with both broadcast and streaming audiences right out of the gate.”

“Fire Country has so many appealing entry points for the audience. It combines high-stakes action with small town charm, mystery and romance, and a family franchise at its core. We’re blessed to have an incredible team in front of and behind the camera led by amazing producers and writers and an exceptionally talented cast,” she added.
Starring Thieriot, who also serves as executive producer, Fire Country follows the story of a fire crew who work in the highly flammable lands of Northern California. Thieriot plays Bode Donovan, a prison inmate who is seeking a reduced sentence by joining the fire brigade in the area.
Created alongside Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, the actor stated that he came up with the idea for the series after growing up in the area (via TVLine).
Lucifer’s Kevin Alejandro, Stephanie Arcila, Billy Burke, Diane Farr, Jordan Calloway and Jules Latimer also star in the series.
