Jennifer Lawrence was warned by Adele against making a Norwegian-directed film

There’s one movie Jennifer Lawrence regrets joining.

Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t exactly have a shortage of projects on her resume, but not all of them are so happy that she accepted. In an interview with The New York Times , Jennifer says that she could also feel that the fans were not too happy with all the choices the actor made after the final chapter of The Hunger Games franchise in 2014. One of these projects turns out to be none other than the Norwegian-directed sci-fi film Passengers , which she did with Chris Pratt in 2016.

Jennifer Lawrence even reveals that Adele warned her against being in the film.
When asked which movies she felt fans reacted the most negatively to, J-Law answers Passengers , and regrets not listening to the artist. I think. Adele said I shouldn’t. She said “I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.” I should have listened to her,” says Jennifer. The sci-fi film, which had Oscar nominee Morten Tyldum ( The Imitation Game ) in the director’s chair, was met with rather lukewarm criticism. However, it was nominated for an Oscar for best film score.

Jennifer Lawrence may have the most regrets about Passengers herself.
However, it is another film that earned her a Razzie nomination. Namely mother! , directed by Darren Aronofsky, who was also J-Law’s boyfriend for a little while.

Today she is also married to Cooke Maroney, and together they have a son Cy (born in 22).
But fortunately for Jennifer, bad choices have not necessarily put an end to her career. Although one of her last films, X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019), was a bit of a belly flop. Don’t Look Up with Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet, however, did well . The actor’s latest project, the A24 film Causewa y, is also met with relatively good feedback. The film is about an American soldier who suffers a brain injury while fighting in Afghanistan, and struggles to adjust to life in the States after the incident.
