Tension is in the air on Chicago Med. Granted, there’s always tension: the jobs that the various surgeons and doctors have to take on weekly are harrowing by any other professional metric. What makes the tension in the latest episode stand out is the fact that it comes from within. The Gaffney team are struggling to do their jobs in the shadow of the new majority shareholder, Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz). He’s tried to enact some major changes despite being in charge for a brief period, and he’s managed to butt heads with everyone from Dr. Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) to the man he was initially friendly with, Marcel (Dominic Rains).
Asher and Archer team up on Chicago Med
The head-butting, so to speak, will continue in “We All Know What They Say About Assumptions”. The synopsis for the episode reveals that Dayton will run afoul of Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) and Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) when they decide to take a particular approach to treating a patient.
Archer, in particular, is known for speaking his mind and being very blunt with people, whether they are superiors or not. He’s known for being that way with people he likes, let alone newcomers who are throwing their financial weight around, so we can only imagine how heated things get between the two men. Asher is the level-headed one of the bunch, but her increasing alignment with Archer makes her support pretty clear. She’s the only one who’s aware of Archer’s diminishing health, so fans may want to keep an eye on whether a level of protectiveness surfaces throughout the episode.
