Anya Taylor-Joy Promises Princess Peach Cosplay in Support of ‘Super Mario Bros.’ Movie

Anya Taylor-Joy is promising that she’s going to do a Princess Peach Cosplay during the press tour for The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Taylor-Joy, who is currently starring in Mark Mylod’s The Menu, lends her voice to Princess Peach in the upcoming animated film, which is based on the famous Nintendo video game series. “I’m really excited to tour it because I would like to, you know, do the getups and actually be Peach. That would be really fun,” Taylor-Joy, 26, says in an interview with MTV. “I’ll be wearing my crown. Yes, and just, you know, have little mushroom folk all around me,” she adds. Princess Peach features in the newly released trailer for the film, which just released on November 29, 2022. The Super Mario Bros Trailer The movie, which is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, is expected to release in April 2023. “I hope that you enjoy the movie as much as I enjoyed working on it,” Taylor-Joy said in a Nintendo Direct presentation yesterday.

Also lending their voices to the film are Chris Pratt, who voices Mario, and Jack Black, who is voicing Bowser.
“Growing up, man, I spent hours of my life stomping Koopas in the original ‘Mario Bros.’ arcade game at my local laundromat… It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to play Mario,” Pratt, 43, says. “That dream, like all dreams, faces one critical challenge as in the film: I must face off against an utterly ruthless scene-stealer. Every great hero needs a diabolical enemy. And I promise you I could not have been paired with a more King of the Koopas, Bowser, my friend, the great and hilarious, supremely talented Jack Black!” he adds.
