After Abby Lee Millers mom passed away the reality star notably began to lose weight in 2015.
Then in 2017 Miller revealed that she was going to undergo a gastric sleeve surgery. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight about the procedure Miller said something fascinating. According to what Abby Lee Miller claimed during that interview Dance Mom producers consistently stood in the way of her attempts to be healthier. The way they would do that according to Miller is by consistently putting unhealthy foods in front of her even when she was trying to make better choices. Based on what Abby Lee Miller told Entertainment Tonight Dance Mom producers were responsible for keeping her overweight.
I tried to be vegan lets say #almostvegan. But even on the TV show they would laugh in my face. They didnt care if I was trying to be vegan. [They would] hand me a hoagie sandwich like an Italian sub from somewhere. Im like What is this lunch meat? I cant eat this! On the other hand Abby Lee Miller revealed a big part of her motivation for getting gastric sleeve surgery at that time was based on Dance Moms. I hate what I look like on TV and you know I wanna look better and nothing makes the mothers more jealous. Paybacks a b***h. Interestingly enough Abby Lee Miller underwent gastric sleeve surgery when she was preparing to serve time for felony bankruptcy fraud. After spending time behind bars Miller returned to star in one final season of Dance Moms even though she seemed so angry at the shows producers while talking about her weight.

After Abby Lee Miller lost a lot of weight following her gastric sleeve surgery she had every reason to expect to enjoy good health in the years to come. Sadly however it is far too common for peoples positive plans to fall apart because life has other things in store for them.
