Ryan Reynolds was born October 23, 1976 in Vancouver, Brititsh Columbia, Canada and is the youngest of four siblings.
He’s a highschool dropout due to his pursuit of his acting job, which came while he was still a high school student in 1991, as he landed the role of Billy Simpson in “Hillside” a Canadian soap opera that was distributed in the United States by Nickelodeon under the title “Fifteen”. Some of the movies he’s protagonized since include: “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder”, “Blade: Trinity”, “The Amityville Horror”, “Smokin’ Aces”, “The Proposal”, “Buried”, “Safe House”, “R.I.P.D.”, “The Voices”, “The Captive”, “Mississippi Grind”, “6 Underground”, “Green Lantern” and “Deadpool” among many more in which he’s appeared as an actor in a supporting role.
Ryan Reynolds has headlined movies for both Marvel and DC Comics in the past, with one of them being hated almost unanimously and the other one being acclaimed. Reynolds played Green Lantern in 2011, but the film received very bad critics and was considered a financial bust, with many thinking that would be the actor’s demise. But Ryan Reynolds proved the doubters wrong and in 2016 he rose to the top alongside his Marvel character movie “Deadpool”, which went on to have the biggest opening worldwide for a movie that year, earning $264.9 million in 62 different markets.
