The Book Of Boba Fett Pitch Meeting

The latest episode of Screen Rant’s Pitch Meeting aims its surprisingly accurate blaster at The Book of Boba Fett. Following Disney/Lucasfilm’s sequel trilogy, and the franchise’s spiritual revival on Disney+, The Mandalorian, breathed new life into Star Wars’ iconic bounty hunter. Thirty-six years after Jeremy Bulloch’s orginal Boba Fett met a (seemingly) untimely end in Return of the Jedi’s Sarlacc pit, the series brought back Boba Fett via Temuera Morrison (who played Jango Fett and in Attack of the Clones).

Taking place after the events of The Mandalorian season 2, and teased/announced in the finale’s credits scene, The Book of Boba Fett explored the galactic underworld of Tatooine as Boba combated the Pyke Syndicate and took over Jabba the Hutt’s territory. The series also showed how Boba escaped that Sarlaac Pit and was aided by Tusken Raiders—a period that lead to his appearance in The Mandalorian. Despite having high viewership numbers, The Book of Boba Fett reviews were mixed – especially when compared to The Mandalorian. Criticisms lobbied against the show are spotlighted in Screen Rant’s latest video. As audiences wait and see if The Book of Boba Fett season 2 will happen, Ryan George has now pitched season 1. Having covered every Star Wars film in existence, the latest episode of Pitch Meeting imagines The Book of Boba Fett pitch to Disney/Lucasfilm. Check it out in the video below:
Once again, the latest Screen Rant Pitch Meeting pokes fun at The Book of Boba Fett’s returning cameos, plot holes, and occasional ridiculousness. First and foremost, the episode addresses how Boba inexplicably lost his armor despite having crawled out of the Sarlaac Pit. On top of that, George calls out the series’ pacing, its colorful gang of cyborg kids who don’t fit with the vibe of Tatooine at all, and how Boba doesn’t really commit any crimes despite being a crime boss. And, as long as one is able to befriend a Rancor, defeating giant (shielded) droids amid a gang war is “super easy, barely an inconvenience.”
