One of four suspects in the murder of original rapper XXXTentacion has contended shamefaced to a lower charge in exchange for evidence against the other threeco-defendants, according to his counsel.
“ Robert Allen entered a shamefaced plea, ” attorney Jim Lewis said Friday. “ He contended to a lower included offense of alternate- degree murder and thievery with a arm. ”
Allen, Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, and Trayvon Newsome are charged in the fatal firing of Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy on June 18, 2018, as he was leaving a motorcycle shop in PompanoBeach. The 20- time-old Onfroy– known by his stage name XXXTentacion– had withdrawn about$,000 from a bank before going to the RIVA Motorsports shop at 3671N. Dixie Highway.
The four are indicted of killing Onfroy for the plutocrat.
“Mr. Allen’s part in this, it was much lower than the other three, ” Lewis said. “ further of an accessory after the fact than really part of the planning. clearly, he noway got out of the auto, noway had a gun, noway shot anybody. ” All were criminated by a grand jury one month latterly. Allen was arrested days latterly at his family’s home southeast of Atlanta.
He’s still facing a life captivity term.
“ Obviously, we ’re hoping for a lot better than a life judgment , ” Lewis said.
Allen’s sentencing is listed forFeb. 23 before Broward Circuit Judge Michael Usan.
