Nobody Wanted Al Pacino In The Godfather, Says Co-Star

There have been some impeccably casted places in cinema, that would see odd if anyone was ever placed in that part. One of those places happens to Michael Corleone in The Godfather, who was consummately portrayed by fabulous actor, Al Pacino. We do n’t suppose anyone differently would have been suitable to deliver the ignominious line, “ I know it was you, Fredo ” better than Pacino. Well, according to a recent interview with Diane Keaton, she explained that after Pacino’s investigation, nothing wanted him to be in The Godfather. According to Keaton, “ nothing wanted Al Pacino. They did n’t want him to play that part, and I had formerly been cast. ” That’s relatively strange that Al Pacino was extensively unwanted in one of his most notorious places. Again, there’s no bone
differently that would have had the same impact as Pacino in that part. Banning the third film, seeing Pacino turn from the war idol Mike Corleone into mob master Michael Corleone was amazing. That’s what made The Godfather so special. Keaton added, “ I had been cast before Al Pacino in Godfather! Is this not weird?! ” Diane Keaton played the part of Kay Adams. Adams would go on to marry Michael and have a ardent relationship with the man. Not casting Pacino would have been super weird, as the man was the driving force for the film. piecemeal from Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone and Robert De Niro as the youngish interpretation of Vito, Pacino was one of the most important actors that made the ballot what it is.

We aren’t further than curious to know what it was about Al Pacino that made everyone not want to see him star as Michael Corleone. From his performance alone, you can tell that he was knitter- made for the part. That fact was farther proven by Pacino entering an Academy Award nomination for Stylish Supporting Actor. James Caan and Robert Duvall were also over for the same part and the same movie. It’s crazy to suppose that three men were nominated for the same film. All three would lose to Joel Grey for his performance in Cabaret.
Al Pacino has been blamed plenitude in his career, though that has not stopped the man from getting one of the most important actors in cinema history. Pacino was destroyed by critics for his depiction of Tony Montana in Scarface, but that film would go on to come one of the biggest cult classic entries in history. still, if the part had gone to anyone differently, it would n’t have been the same. That’s his impact as an actor.
