John Mayer has blazoned a forthcoming benefit musicale dubbed Rise For The Swash – A Benefit For The Beautiful Park Country, listed to take place over three weeks coming month, with the first live event slated forAug. 8 at Pine Creek Lodge in Livingston,Mont.
In a press release participated by the Dead & Company guitarist, Mayer unveiled that the first event will be on Monday,Aug. 8, when Bobby Weir joins the benefit musicale’s host on stage for a set of music that will also include support from Montana natives, the Kitchen residers.
The coming event is listed for Sunday,Aug. 14, and will feature funnyman Dave Chappelle performing burlesque alongside Mayer, who shares the bill with the entertainment icon. Eventually, the Rise For The River’s final event will commence onAug. 21, when Mayer performs a solo musicale with support from The Last Revel.
Rise For The Swash – A Benefit For The Beautiful Park Country comes after the major June 13 cataracts damaged homes and closed corridor of Yellowstone National Park. Proceeds raised from the benefit will go towards the SW MT Flood Relief Fund, a cooperation between the Park Country Community Foundation and Greater Gallatin United Way.
Also, backing will give instant support to those affected by the cataracts, with access to exigency harbors, clean water, food, apparel, and subsistence lost due to imperfect freezers and refrigerators.
