Jenna Ortega ( Scream ) is getting ready to grace all of our tv screens as the latest Wednesday Addams of the famed Addams Family. The actor has been hard at work on the Tim Burton Netflix series Wednesday , and we’ve been getting bits and pieces of what to expect from the project. In the latest behind-the-scenes photo posted to social media, we get to see Ortega dressed up as Wednesday Addams and lying down in her iconic position with her arms crossed over her chest. Rocking the instantly recognizable black dress paired with a white Peter Pan collar and braided pigtails, Ortega has channeled Wednesday to perfection.
Her ability to become Wednesday has brought a lot of praise and love to Ortega, even from former Wednesday Addams Christina Ricci. Ricci played the beloved character in the 1991 live-action movie version of the 1938 comic strip. “I just finished it two weeks ago, and it was great,” Ricci said in a previous interview with Comicbook. “It was great working with Tim, and Jenna is amazing. here hasn’t been an official date set for the release of the series, but it is going to be out on Netflix in 2022. We can’t wait to see Ortega make this classic character her own. She did already say that Wednesday Addams will smile, unlike any version of the character before.
