Asphalt developer Gameloft partners with Nodwin to host esports competitions in India

Asphalt 8 and Asphalt 9 are two of the most played racing games on mobile around the world and Gameloft has been pushing them towards esports in recent years It organized the Asphalt Series in 2019 2020 and 2021 and the games have also been a part of the ESL Mobile Open

India is one of the biggest mobile esports markets in terms of viewership and participation so it isn’t surprising to see Gameloft partner with a local company to grow the racing franchise in the country Currently no details about the upcoming tournaments for the two racing games in India have been revealed yet Nodwin and Gameloft will likely make an announcement soon

India is an important market for Gameloft and the growth of esports in India does offer a great opportunity to build engagement with the users of the Asphalt IP said Florent Vallauri the managing director for the SEAP region at Gameloft

Asphalt 9: Legends was also recently announced as one of the titles in the Snapdragon Pro Series powered by ESL The Pro Series is a global mobile esports competition with a prize pool of more than $2 million that will begin later this month and run into 2023

ESL had said the details for the Pro Series in India will be announced at a later dateThe Spring into Spring event is back once again for Pokémon Go players around the world meaning certain Pokémon will be appearing with special flower crown accessories to celebrate the arrival of spring

This year the event will run from April 12 to 18 and feature Pokémon like Togekiss and Lopunny wearing flower crowns along with the debut of Ula’ula Island’s guardian deity Tapu Bulu as part of the ongoing Season of Alola

Other Pokémon with flower crowns such as Pikachu Eevee Buneary Togetic and Chansey will be appearing in the wild But if you want a Togepi Pichu or Happiny wearing the special accessory you will need to hatch them from twokilometer eggs

Throughout the event players will get double hatch Candy and Lucky Egg duration along with a 50percent reduction in hatch distance for eggs Team Go Rocket Grunts will also be appearing more frequently with Shadow Whismur and Shadow Exeggcute

The Ula’ula Island Special Research will start on April 12 though it will run until the end of the Season of Alola on June 1 Completing these tasks will unlock Special Research bonuses at the end of the season There will also be a flowery Collection Challenge specifically for the Spring into Spring event

A special Limited Research Day will run on April 16 from 11am to 2pm local time giving players a chance to encounter Exeggcute more frequently along with Shiny Exeggcute from research tasks given at PokéStops Evolving an Exeggute into Alolan Exeggcutor during the event will also let it learn the Charged Attack Draco Meteor
