Nolan is becoming a training officer, and we can’t wait to see it all play out. When will The Rookie Season 5 premiere on ABC?
We would love nothing more than to jump straight into Nolan becoming a teacher. The bad news is we don’t get to see that just yet. The series is not going to premiere this month. Of course, that was something we never expected. Even if ABC hadn’t confirmed The Rookie Season 5 premiere date, we wouldn’t expect it at all this month. The broadcast networks aren’t going to release their biggest shows in a season when the live ratings take a big dip. That doesn’t make business sense.
When will The Rookie Season 5 premiere on ABC?
As mentioned, though, ABC has confirmed the premiere date. We know the series will return on Sunday, Sept. 25. The series will remain in the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. It is a shame as we hoped the series would move forward an hour to then air new episodes of spin-off series The Rookie: Feds. Instead, Feds will air Tuesdays.
We know that Nolan will be a training officer. According to Good Housekeeping, Nathan Fillion accidentally revealed a spoiler. When talking about his new trainee, he said “she.” It immediately made it clear that he will train a woman. We also know we’ll see more of Thorsen. Tru Valentino has been upped to series regular for the fifth season. This means we should see him start to shake off the reputation he had gained from his wrongful conviction.
There are a lot of questions about Chenford. They finally kissed at the end of the fourth season, but don’t expect to see them immediately jump into a relationship. There are a lot of consequences to their actions still.
