It’s about time a new season of Emily in Paris releases on Netflix. We miss seeing our girl Emily as she juggles work, romance, and friends while living in the city of love. But, sadly, we’ll have to wait a while longer to see the romantic comedy series back on our screens because it looks like the cast and crew are still hard at work filming Emily in Paris season 3.
Emily in Paris was renewed for a third and fourth season back in January 2022. Then, in April 2022, Lucien Laviscount, who plays Alfie in the series, was upped to a series regular. Series creator Darren Star also revealed that production on Emily in Paris season 3 would begin sometime in June.Principal photography did in fact start in June. On June 1, the official Emily in Paris Instagram page announced that season 3 had officially begun production. Unfortunately, the cast and crew have not shared any behind-the-scenes photos of season 3 to hold fans over. It looks like the creative team wants to keep everything under wraps until the season premieres. That’s a bummer! However, some cast members have posted photos of them hanging out together outside of work on their Instagram pages.
With filming still in progress, we won’t be hearing of a release date announcement anytime soon. However, we’re always up to sharing our release date predictions in the meantime.
When could Emily in Paris season 3 arrive on Netflix?
Netflix shows typically spend about six to eight months in production before moving into post-production. However, there’s a chance that production on Emily in Paris season 3 will only take two months. We’re basing the third season’s production schedule on the previous season. Emily in Paris season 2 went into production in May 2021 and wrapped in July 2021. However, we don’t have a confirmed production schedule for season 3, so production could take longer than two months.
