First ballot WWE Hall of Famer John Cena is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. His commitment to WWE is unrivaled which is why he was at the top for over a decade. Cena is a 16time World Champion and he currently ties Ric Flair for the most World Championship reigns. Hes won the WWE Championship a record 13 times which is a staggering achievement and he has been the World Heavyweight Champion three times. Even when he hasnt held the gold he has always flirted around the main event scene.

With the number of rivals that Cena has had throughout his career it comes as no surprise that hes had many memorable World Championship matches with them. Dave Meltzer has followed Cenas career closely for a plethora of years and hes rated several of Cenas World Title matches highly.
Just two weeks removed from winning his 16th World Championship at the 2017 Royal Rumble John Cena defended his newly won title inside the Elimination Chamber. He had five hungry challengers in Bray Wyatt AJ Styles Dean Ambrose The Miz and Baron Corbin. Cena had to go all the way if he was going to retain his title as he began proceedings with Styles.

Cena had a good outing here and he eliminated his old foe The Miz with the Attitude Adjustment. However his 13th WWE Championship run didnt go according to plan as he was eliminated by the eventual winner Bray Wyatt with Sister Abigail. John Cena and Seth Rollins collided in a Winner Take All match for Cenas United States Championship and Rollins WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2015. This was by far the best match of the night and they should have closed out the show but The Undertaker and Brock Lesnars hotly anticipated rematch got the nod to go on last.

Cena and Rollins chemistry together is effortless and Cena was on the hunt for his 16th World Championship. Big Match John connected with the AA but Rollins kicked out. The turning point of the match was the host of SummerSlam Jon Stewart running down the aisle and he struck Cena with a steel chair. The Architect capitalized and he became the first man to hold the WWE and United States Championships simultaneously. Four of the alltime great competitors John Cena Edge Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton slugged it out for the WWE Championship in the main event of Backlash 2007. This match was off the charts with all four doing their very best to escape with the WWE Championship. Cena had to battle hard here and he happened to be in the right place at the right time. HBK connected with Sweet Chin Music on Cena and an unconscious Cena fell back onto Orton in a successful title defense.
