Each member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a different weapon and nunchaku makes him the most unpredictable of all. weapons make him the most unpredictable of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When Splinter trained the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles he deliberately chose to give each one of them a different weapon. No doubt the Turtles sensei deduced that it would be harder for opponents to adapt to a mismatched team because theyd have to deal with so many different fighting styles.
Ironically though Splinter would have had to reinvent the different fighting styles pretty much from the ground up. The Turtles have three fingers meaning their grips are very different to the human norm. Some of the Turtles holster the weapons in unusual places to boot Leonardo keeps his katana sheathed to his back for example rather than carrying them in his belt which means his drawing strikes will be very different. But none of the Turtles will have required quite as much reinvention as Michaelangelo.
The nunchaku are historically believed to have been used for street self defense but their combat effectiveness is hotly debated. They became wellknown due to Bruce Lee but even he admitted they were difficult to use. The lack of popularity for the nunchaku probably came from its low effectiveness when used against the staff or other longreach weapons he noted not to mention the sword. On the other hand one who was skilled in nunchaku usage was easily able to defeat a few opponents who were armed with knives or unarmed. Ironically their unpopularity may well give Michaelangelo an edge in some battles because few people have trained against them.
Michelangelo Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Nunchaku can be pretty dangerous to an unskilled combatant its pretty common for someone to accidentally break their own bones. But Michaelangelo is most definitely not unskilled hes trained to the point where that kind of accident doesnt seem to happen at all. Its likely Michaelangelo quite enjoys the unpredictability of combat with the nunchaku using them to spin round an opponents defense and hit them from an unexpected angle. With the other Turtles Splinter seems to have chosen to train them in weapons that teach them restraint in some ways Donatellos staff is a simple weapon for example counterbalancing his tendency to overcomplicate things. With Michaelangelo however Splinter seems to have decided to indulge him instead.
In the hands of an expert nunchaku can deliver as much as 350 joules of energy with a single blow meaning they can shatter concrete or even break a skull. This means Michaelangelo may well be the last Turtle members of the Foot clan want to fight simply because hell strike in an unpredictable manner with a staggering amount of force. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles really shouldnt be underestimated.
While together all four members of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are one of the coolest teams in comic book history one mutant ninja stands above the rest as the coolest Turtle and that is Raphael as shown in some amazing fan art. The original TMNT comic series depicted each Turtle as virtually the same character a group of focused assassins who fight for what is right as ordered by Master Splinter. Once each ninja got his own specific and vastly different personality Raphael quickly and explicitly became the designated cool Turtle of the group a title he lives up to across multiple forms of media including this new piece of fan art.
Raphael first became known as the cool Turtle in the theme song to the 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series which was written by Chuck Lorre. In a song sequence detailing the Turtles unique qualities that define them as characters aside from the fact that they are all ninjas the lyrics that established Raphaels coolness were Raphael is cool but rude. Since then Raphael has been depicted as the toughest Turtle and continues to hold that title to this day.
