Father’s Day is an occasion to celebrate our dads and everything that they do for us—unless, of course, you’re in One Chicago. Many of the fathers depicted in Chicago Fire and Chicago PD as well as Chicago Med are not the best parents. It’s safe to say that they will never be Father of the Year candidates, with how much drama they bring to the lives of their sons and daughters whenever they appear in an episode. We have lots of great sibling relationships, but our father and children dynamics have plenty of room for improvement.
Not only that, but several of One Chicago’s dads aren’t great people in general. These are characters who have made huge mistakes, or can’t see outside of their own heads, or just think that the world is supposed to be all about them. A few of them have become characters that audiences love to hate—which is why, for this holiday, we’re answering the question of which father in our fandom is the one we definitely wouldn’t be celebrating on Father’s Day. Click through the below slideshow as we rank One Chicago’s most difficult and dramatic fathers, who make us appreciate our dads even more.
