What happened to the actor who played Dewey from Malcolm In The Middle after the show came to an end? Its been over 15 years since the last episode of Malcolm In The Middle aired but its still hailed as one of the best sitcoms of all time. The series owes much of its success to the talented actors who play its delightfully dysfunctional family longsuffering matriarch Lois (Jane Kaczmarek lovable bumbling father Hal (Bryan Cranston genius middle son Malcolm (Frankie Muniz the wayward eldest son Francis (Christopher Kennedy Masterson the goofy second son Reese (Justin Berfield and the youngest son Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan.

Malcolm In The Middle made stars out of several of his cast members. Bryan Cranston is of course best known for his multiaward winning role as Walter White on Breaking Bad and his onscreen wife Jane Kaczmarek has enjoyed a steady stream of work since the sitcom ended in 2006. Similarly Frankie Muniz has had no shortage of acting credits since playing the shows titular lead and recently enjoyed a stint as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

However another cast member stepped out of the spotlight a few years after the sitcom aired its finale Erik Per Sullivan who played Dewey from Malcolm In The Middle. Sullivan garnered considerable praise for his role as Lois and Hals eccentric youngest son and was nominated for two Young Artist Awards for his work. He took on many other roles throughout the sitcoms seven seasons including the voice of the seahorse Sheldon in Finding Nemo and landing parts in the horror flick Wendigo and the holiday flick Christmas With The Kranks.

Erik Per Sullivan in Eleven Not Far From Home and Twelve According to his IMDb page Sullivan has only done a handful of acting jobs since he was in the cast of Malcolm In The Middle. He had a role in a short film called Once Not Far From Home and lent his voice to a couple of characters in Luc Bessons animated fantasy film Arthur And The Invisibles. Sullivan also played the lead in a 2007 film called Mo about a boy with Marfan syndrome and his last credit was a supporting role as Timmy in Joel Schumachers 2010 teen crime film Twelve. It appears that Erik Per Sullivan has given up acting and is living a lowkey lifestyle out of the spotlight.

Erik Per Sullivan isnt the only cast member to quit acting soon after Malcolm In The Middle either. Her costar Justin Berfield also took on a few more acting jobs after the sitcom ended but according to his IMDb page hes since switched to more behindthescenes roles and is currently executive producing a couple of shows. of reality television However while Berfield and most of the main cast recently appeared at a virtual Malcolm In The Middle reunion for charity Sullivan decided not to participate suggesting that he really has left his acting days behind.
