A new month is almost here, and it is certainly going to be a big one in the ongoing streaming wars. With May now nearing its end, all the major streaming players – Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Peacock, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ – are gearing up for a fresh start in June, with hundreds of new titles set to debut and return over the course of the upcoming 30 days.
Kicking things off will be a slate of new additions arriving to Netflix. In June, the streamer is putting extra emphasis on its comedy specials, with titles featuring everyone from David Letterman to Snoop Dogg, and a comedy tribute to the late Bob Saget also on the list. June will also bring two massive titles back to the library – Peaky Blinders Season 6 and The Umbrella Academy Season 3. Over on Disney+, subscribers will be treated to new episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the debut of Marvel Studios’ latest project, Mrs. Marvel, the streamer also set to premiere Baymax!, a follow-up to Big Hero 6. Fellow Disney-owned streamer Hulu will be stocked with titles like the Emma Thompson-starring comedy Good Luck to You, Leo Grande and FX’s The Old Man, as well as the Season 2 premiere of the hit series Only Murders In the Building and the final season of Love, Victor. HBO Max subscribers, meanwhile, will be treated to Westworld, the Emmy-winning drama returning for its fourth season, as well as Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, among many others.
